Initial Case Review

All new clients start with an Initial Case Review. I’ll review your tax concerns, goals, and any IRS and state notices you upload through the secure client portal, then provide a detailed written action plan and recommended next steps.

If you decide to move forward within 30 days, the $100 Initial Case Review fee is applied in full as a deposit toward your first service with me.

Languages: Initial Case Reviews are currently available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Mandarin. If your primary language is not listed, please use the contact form to reach me and I’ll make accommodations so you can communicate in the way that feels most comfortable for you.

Diagnostic Review

If your situation requires resolution and you’d like representation, a Diagnostic Review builds a strong foundation for this process. I will pull transcripts, review prior returns and notices, and analyze your options with the IRS and state. Final fees depend on years, balances, and complexity.

  • $350 - $550

    Best for:

    • 1-2 years of issues

    • Up to $25,000 in total tax owed

    • No active levy or wage garnishment

    Includes:

    • IRS account & wage/income transcripts

    • Compliance check (what’s filed, what’s missing)

    • Written summary of findings and recommended resolution path

  • $650 - $900

    Best for:

    • 3-5 years of issues or multiple notices

    • Balances between $25,000 - $100,000

    • Possible lien/levy risk, prior payment plans, or penalties

    Includes:

    • IRS account & wage/income transcripts

    • Compliance check

    • Written summary of findings

    • Deeper review of prior returns for potential amendments

    • Cash-flow / ability-to-pay analysis

    • Comparison of likely options (installment agreement vs. CNC vs. Offer in Compromise, etc.)

  • $1,000 - $1,500+

    Best for:

    • 6+ years unfiled or mixed IRS & state issues

    • Balances over $100,000

    • Business/entity issues, audits, or multiple revenue officers

    Includes:

    • IRS account & wage/income transcripts

    • Compliance check (what’s filed, what’s missing).

    • Written summary of findings

    • Cash-flow/ability-to-pay analysis

    • Comparison of likely options (Installment agreement vs.CNC vs. Offer in Compromise, etc.)

Tax Preparation & Filing

I prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses, whether or not you need full resolution services.

  • Price range: $300 - $400 per year

    For individuals with straightforward tax situations, such as:

    • W-2 income

    • Basic credits (Child Tax Credit, education credits, etc.)

    • One state

    • No self-employment, rental properties, K-1s, or crypto

    This covers one federal and one state individual income tax return.

  • Price range: $450 - $700+ per year.

    For more involved returns, such as:

    • Self-employment or independent contracting (Schedule C)

    • Rental properties (Schedule E)

    • K-1s from partnerships or S corps

    • Multiple states or other complex items

    Final pricing depends on the number of forms, states, and the condition of your records.

  • Price range: $750 - $1,200+

    For business entities and more complex situations, such as:

    • Partnerships (Form 1065)

    • S Corporations (Form 1120-S)

    Entity returns are quoted based on transaction volume, number of accounts, and bookkeeping condition.

  • Tax preparation fees are due in full before I e-file or release your finalized return. For ongoing clients enrolled in a Compliance & Filing plan, annual tax preparation fees can be built into a simple monthly autopay schedule instead of one lump sum.

My ongoing compliance and filing options are designed to give you steady support throughout the year. Choose the package that best fits your situation, whether you’re an individual taxpayer or a business owner.

    For individuals with straightforward returns who want annual filing and ongoing support instead of a single lump sum at tax time.

    Includes:

    • Annual individual tax return (Simple - 1040 Essentials)

    • Annual IRS transcript check

    • Notice and letter triage with clear guidance on next steps

    • Year-round access for brief compliance questions by email or through the client portal

    Billed as a 12-month plan with secure monthly autopay. Qualifying public-service clients receive a 10% discount on plan fees. New balances, levies, or audits are quoted separately under Resolution.

  • Starting at $65/month

    For individuals with self-employment, rentals, or other complex returns who want both annual filing and ongoing support.

    Includes:

    • Annual individual tax return (Complex - 1040 Plus)

    • Annual IRS transcript check

    • Notice and letter triage

    • Year-round access for brief compliance questions by email or through the client portal

    Billed as a 12-month plan with secure monthly autopay. Qualifying public-service clients receive a 10% discount on plan fees. Very complex or additional returns may be billed separately and will always be quoted in advance.

    For partnerships and S corporations who need ongoing tax compliance and annual filing.

    May include:

    • Annual business return (Form 1065 or 1120-S)

    Pricing is quoted individually based on the complexity of the business, number of owners, and bookkeeping condition, and is billed as a 12-month plan with secure monthly autopay. Bookkeeping services, if needed, can be bundled with this plan. Qualifying public-service clients receive a 10% discount on plan fees.

    Bookkeeping services may include:

    • Monthly categorization and reconciliation of business bank and credit card transactions

    Bookkeeping is offered on a custom monthly pricing basis, depending on transaction volume, number of accounts, and the condition of your records. It can be combined with any Compliance & Filing plan.

Payment Plan Options

I know that resolving tax issues is a big commitment, and I want the fees to be as manageable as possible. I offer simple payment plans to help during an already stressful time.

Initial Case Review Fee — This fee is paid in full at booking and is non-refundable. If you move forward within 30 days, your fee is applied in full toward your next service with me (Diagnostic Review, tax preparation, or a Compliance & Filing plan).

Diagnostic Review:

Tier 1 (Standard Cases, $350-$550): Paid in full before work begins.

Tier 2 & 3 (Advanced/ Complex Cases): A 3-month payment plan is available, with a 50% initial retainer and two automatic monthly payments set up through the client portal.

Resolution (Installment Agreements, Currently Not Collectible, Offer in Compromise, Penalty Abatement, Unfiled Returns):

I offer structured payment plans tailored to your individual case.

Initial Retainer: Typically 30-50% of the total resolution fee, due before I file Power of Attorney or begin work with the IRS or state.

Monthly payments: The remaining balance is divided into automatic monthly payments (usually within a 3-6 month timeframe, with longer options for larger or more complex cases such as Offers in Compromise.)

No interest or hidden fees: Payment plans are simple flat-fee arrangements. All payment plans are set up as secure autopay through the client portal. Compliance & Filing plans may also be billed on a monthly basis, as outlined in your engagement agreement.
